Frequently asked questions
How do I play?+
Drag anywhere on the screen to steer your squad — they aim and fire automatically. Collect the gems enemies drop to level up, then pick one of the skill cards offered to add weapons or upgrades to your run. Survive to the end of the chapter and take down the boss to win.
What are formations?+
Your gunners fight as one swarm, and their formation shapes your fire: switch formations during a run to trade spread for focus — a wide line sweeps crowds, a ring covers every direction, a wedge concentrates fire forward. Reading the horde and switching at the right moment is the heart of the game.
My squad was wiped out. Can I keep the run?+
Up to 3 times per run you can revive by watching a short video — your squad returns with a brief shield and the horde around you is cleared. After the third revive the next defeat ends the run, but you always keep the coins you earned.
How do coins and the Armory work?+
You earn coins from every run (and can double them by watching a short video on the results screen). Spend them in the ARMORY on the main menu for permanent upgrades that apply to all future runs — damage, health, speed, starting perks, and more.
How many chapters are there?+
The campaign never ends. After the authored opening chapters, Swarmada generates new chapters forever — each with its own name, enemy mix, and boss, getting gradually tougher the deeper you go. The same chapter number is always the same chapter, on any device.
Does the game need internet?+
No — Swarmada is fully playable offline. An internet connection is only needed for ads, so revive and coin-doubling videos may be unavailable while offline.
How do I turn off personalized ads?+
On iOS, decline the tracking prompt when it appears, or turn it off later in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, open Settings → Google → Ads and turn on "Opt out of Ads Personalization". You will still see ads, but they will not be personalized.
How do I request deletion of my data?+
Swarmada does not require an account and stores your progress on your device — deleting the app removes it. To request deletion of any data associated with your device, email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion".
The game crashes or runs slowly.+
Make sure you are on the latest version, restart your device, and confirm you have enough free storage. Swarmada automatically reduces visual effects on lower-end devices; if it keeps happening, email us your device model and OS version so we can reproduce and fix it.
How do I report a bug or suggest a feature?+
We love feedback. Email [email protected] with as much detail as you can (what happened, what you expected, your device and OS). Screenshots or a short clip help a lot.
